Serves: 2
Why this spice: Collected Foods Bacon Salt on hot frites makes steak-night fries taste smokehouse-special without frying bacon.
Ingredients
- 2 strip or rib-eye steaks
- Kosher salt and pepper for steaks
- 1.5 lb russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 3 tbsp neutral oil
- 1–1.5 tsp Collected Foods Bacon Salt
- Fresh parsley
Directions
- Soak fries in cold water 20 minutes; dry thoroughly. Toss with oil. Bake at 450°F on a hot sheet pan 25–30 minutes, flipping once, until crisp.
- Season steaks with kosher salt and pepper; sear or grill to preferred doneness; rest.
- Toss hot fries with Bacon Salt immediately so it sticks.
- Plate steak with fries, parsley over the fries, and a final tiny pinch of Bacon Salt if needed.
